Content and Safety Reporting

Use this channel to report content that you reasonably believe is unlawful, unsafe, deceptive, abusive, age-inappropriate, or inconsistent with applicable TikTok rules.

Emergency and urgent situations

If anyone faces immediate danger, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service before contacting us. This email address is not an emergency service and is not monitored continuously. For a credible imminent threat, include “URGENT SAFETY” in the subject, identify the specific scene and threat, and state whether law enforcement has been contacted.

What may be reported

• Child sexual exploitation or abuse, grooming, trafficking, or any sexualized depiction of a minor.
• Credible threats, graphic or gratuitous violence, glorification of violent wrongdoing, or instructions facilitating serious harm.
• Suicide, self-harm, or dangerous challenges presented in a manner that creates a material safety concern.
• Hate, harassment, bullying, stalking, doxxing, or targeted abuse.
• Fraud, scams, impersonation, deceptive commercial practices, or promotion of unlawful activity.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation, privacy invasion, or misuse of a person's image, likeness, or voice.
• Content that is incorrectly age-rated, excessively sexual or violent for its audience, or otherwise harmful to minors.
• Content prohibited by a valid court order or other applicable U.S. law.
• Another material violation of the Terms of Service or TikTok policies.

What to include

1. The drama title, episode number, scene, and timestamp sufficient to locate the material.
2. The report category and a factual explanation of the concern.
3. Your U.S. state or country and, if relevant, why you believe a particular law applies.
4. A URL, safe screenshot, court order, or other supporting information. Redact unrelated personal information.
5. A contact email for follow-up. Anonymous reports may be reviewed, but missing information can limit our ability to investigate or communicate an outcome.

Special rules for child-safety material

Do not download, copy, attach, forward, or redistribute suspected child sexual abuse material. Identify only the Spark title, episode, and timestamp and explain the concern in words. We may preserve required records, restrict access, and report apparent violations to TikTok, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, or law enforcement when required or permitted by law.

Review process

1. We log the report and assess urgency, location, completeness, and the risk of continued availability.
2. We may temporarily restrict content while reviewing the licensed source, age rating, context, rights information, and applicable law or platform policy.
3. We may request limited additional information, consult TikTok, the content licensor, safety specialists, or counsel, and preserve evidence needed for the investigation.
4. We may retain the content, change its rating or presentation, restrict it by location or age, remove it, or refer the matter to an appropriate authority.
5. Where feasible and lawful, we notify the reporter that the review is closed. Privacy, security, legal, and safety constraints may prevent disclosure of details.

Our internal target is to resolve or dismiss reports received through TikTok within the platform's required 72-hour process. Imminent-harm and child-safety reports are escalated immediately. These targets do not alter any shorter deadline required by law or TikTok.

Good-faith reporting and appeals

Submit reports honestly and do not use this process to harass, intimidate, censor lawful criticism, or interfere with another person's rights. Knowingly false or abusive reports may be closed and may violate our Terms or law. If you are the affected licensor or rights holder and believe a restriction was mistaken, reply to the notice with the case reference and supporting evidence. Copyright counter-notices must use the separate Copyright and IP Complaints procedure.

Privacy

We use report information to investigate, protect safety and rights, comply with law, and document the outcome. We may disclose it to TikTok, licensors, advisers, authorities, or affected persons only as reasonably necessary and lawful. See the Privacy Policy for retention and rights information.
